Just another idea and something Derby City Council could possibly do for businesses in Derby.
Over the Summer, I went to Normanton Park for lots of walks. The park itself is well kept, and I noticed a sign for the Friends of Normanton Park, so I wrote a few ideas and sent them to their team, mentioning also how well I thought the park was kept.
Wouldn’t it be great if businesses in Derby had a Friends for each set of shops. So there would be Friends of Sunnyhill shops, Sinfin shops, Normanton shops, Littleover shops, Heaverton shops, Allenton shops, Alvaston shops, Chellaston shops, Oakwood shops, Chaddesden shops, etc.
They could have events, a business directory and news, things like that. They could have Facebook pages, which would be a great way for residents to be kept up to date.
I think this could help bring residents and businesses closer together.
