Not that I’m much of a health person, but how about having outdoor exercise areas to encourage people to be healthier?
I remember when I went to Fuerteventura many years ago, and we were walking back to our hotel after an evening meal. A short distance from the hotel was a small but nice area with structures to do dips and pull ups.
We could have something similar set up across Derby, at places such as The Spot, Markeaton Park, etc.
I imagine it wouldn’t be too expensive to set up. Plus, this would be a good free alternative to going to the gym. You’d also get fresh air at the same time.
What do you think? Yay or nay to public exercise areas dotted about the city?
