Well, I think there are some really good spots in Derby for buskers. Certainly, there could be a good spot along Sadler Gate and the Old Blacksmiths Yard. Traditionally, there have been buskers playing along St Peters Street.What if for a couple of weekends over the summer we had buskers playing and artists drawing caricatures? It would be great to take the kids to see the artists drawing caricatures and it’d also be good fun for adults.
What do you think? Would you like to see buskers along Sadler Gate and artists drawing caricatures in Old Blacksmiths Yard for a couple of weekends over the summer? I know I would.
It would be a great idea to entertain passers by, attract visitors and showcase local talent. The council will need to take some basic precautions to ensure that there is enough space for pedestrians to get by and the sound levels are reasonable.
